Maybe all you have been able to do is just keep up, and barely at that? Unfortunately, that has become the norm for so many of us. We suffer from so many ailments whether they are physical, mental, or emotional. A study from 2015 in the Journal of the American Medical Association shows that 90% of the reasons why people go to the ER or a doctor are due to some form of stress. According to the Journal of Medical Sciences, even as early as 2008, it was found that "90% of all visits to primary care physicians are stress-related." America's #1 health problem Have you ever noticed that things seem to go wrong a lot more when you are stressed out? This is because we don't function nearly as well when our system is on high alert. The human brain has not evolved fast enough to keep up with society. When we stress out our brain doesn't know the difference between running from a bear and making the bills this month. Similarly, it doesn't know how to stop stressing even after a given stressor has passed its relevant timeframe in your life. So it collects in your system. I like to compare life and stress to a rubber band. The more stress you have built up, the more often the band snaps. This is why, as we get older, our bodies start giving out on us more frequently. The more stressed we are, the more likely we are to be unhealthy. So, what can we do about it? That's where I come in. My responsibility as a healing practitioner is to help remove the blocks that have been leaving us feeling trapped in a vicious cycle of negative repeating patterns. Through releasing stresses or traumas and rebooting the body's systems, we can then consciously break repetitive cycles or self-defeating behaviors and heal from within. When our bodies have more energy to focus on improving instead of being consumed through stress, miracles really can happen. We can then go from stress and sickness to happiness and health.
